We are pleased to announce that the Moot Court Room of the Indiana University Maurer School of Law will be named after two distinguished alumna of the school, our two founding partners, Kathleen A. DeLaney ’95 and Ann M. DeLaney ’77.

Kathleen and Ann DeLaney are the founding partners of DeLaney & DeLaney LLC, a litigation and appellate practice firm in Indianapolis and one of the first mother-daughter firms in the state. Both women have actively supported the Law School for many years. Ann served on the school’s board of visitors from 1997-2019, and Kathleen was elected to the board in 2019 after serving on the law alumni board for six years. Kathleen’s daughter, Emma DeLaney Strenski, ’22, represents the third generation of women from the family to graduate from the Law School.

The DeLaneys were intrigued when Dean Parrish presented them with the opportunity to support the school’s trial and appellate competitions because it reflects their interest in encouraging women to specialize in litigation. The Maurer School of Law community is privileged to honor their commitment by naming the Moot Court Room in their honor.
