DeLaney & DeLaney LLC has been appointed class counsel along with co-counsel from Weisbrod Matteis & Copley PLLC in William Jeffrey Burnett, et al. v. CNO Financial Group, Inc., et al., Southern District of Indiana Case No. 1:18-cv-00200-JPH-DML. On January 13, 2021, the Court approved a $27 million cash settlement with one defendant on behalf of a class of “LifeTrend” life insurance policy holders. Class Members allege that life insurance companies overcharged them through improper premiums and cost of insurance charges, causing them to let their polices lapse and lose tens of millions of dollars in valuable life insurance policies as a result.
